Suspect in Center City hit and run surrenders to police
CENTER CITY (WTXF) - A man believed to have been behind the wheel of a vehicle involved in a deadly Center City hit and run earlier this month has turned himself into police.
35-year-old Brendon Hay of Southwest Philadelphia, turned himself into police Tuesday afternoon.
Hayes is expected to be charged in a hit and run crash that occurred back on August 6, near Race and Vine Street. Ann Broderick, a 53-year-old woman was killed when police say she was struck by a white Jeep Rubicon driven by Hay.
Police say Hay does not own the Jeep that was recovered by police more than a week after the incident.
FOX 29's Dave Schratwieser reports Hayes will be charged with homicide by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter, and leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
