Suspect sought in knifepoint Dunkin Donuts robbery

Philadelphia Police are looking to identify a man they say robbed a North Philadelphia Dunkin Donuts at knife point on Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred at the Dunkin Donuts on the 900 block of West Girard Avenue around 11:45 a.m.

Police say the suspect entered the store wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with a red bandana covering his face, and pulled a knife from his pocket demanding money.

The employee then refused to open the register, causing the suspect to jump over the counter, forcing the register open, and taking an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect then fled north on 10 th Street and discarded his clothing behind a building on the 900 block of North 11 th Street. From there, police say the suspect got into a 2000 ford Expedition and was last seen heading south on 11 th Street with several other unknown men.

The suspect has been described by police as a black male, 20-years-old, standing between 5'10" and 6'1", with a thin build.
