Suspect surrenders after exchanging gunfire with officers in Oxford Circle

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Philadelphia police say a suspect is in custody after a shootout with police Friday morning in Oxford Circle.

The shooting occurred near the 1400 block of Lardner Street.

FOX 29's Dave Schratweiser reports a suspect opened fire on officers around 8 a.m. and officers returned fire.

No officers were injured during the shooting.

Police have not yet said what may have led to the shooting.
