Suspect wanted in Parx Turf Club robbery

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - The search is on for a thief who ran away after ambushing a guest leaving the Parx South Philadelphia Turf Club and taking the man's valuables.

Philadelphia police released this surveillance video from April 6 at about 6pm. They said the thief lingered outside, waiting for the 64-year-old victim to leave.

Then, in the parking lot, he approached the victim from behind. He grabbed the victim's Coach bag which had $5,000, his driver's license, credit cards, and an access card inside.

Then, the thief ran away.

Police described him as having a heavy build and short gray hair. He was wearing glasses, a red and black long sleeve shirt, and blue jeans.
