Suspected bank robber doesn't get any money

A man walked into a Bank of America branch in Center City and handed a demand note to a teller, but didn't get away with any money in what police are calling an attempted robbery.

It happened Wednesday afternoon at 15th and Locust streets.

Philadelphia police and the FBI say he ended up running out empty-handed.

Now, they're asking for help identifying and finding him because he's considered armed and dangerous.

The suspect is described as in his early 30s, about 6'1" to 6'4" tall, with a medium build, light scruffy mustache and goatee. He was wearing a black t-shirt, black pants and black shoes.

Anyone with information is urged to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or Philadelphia police. There is a reward for information leading to his capture, and tipsters can remain anonymous.
