Suspects sought in robbery of couple in Olney

Philadelphia Police are investigating a robbery that took place early Monday morning in the city's Olney neighborhood.

The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. on the 100 block of West Godfrey Avenue.

Officers arrived on scene to find a 64-year-old man and his wife, who told police he had just been robbed by three unknown suspects.

The victim told police he had helped his wife into their home, and went back outside to park their car when he was approached by the suspects, who were armed with handguns.

Police say the suspects forced the victim back into his house, where they forced him and his wife onto the floor. The suspects then took the man's black backpack which contained $3,000, paperwork, and the victim's handgun.

The suspects then fled the home, and got into a white or silver four door, ford vehicle.

Police have described the suspects as three black males in their 20s, all carrying black handguns and wearing dark hooded sweatshirts.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Northwest Detectives.
