Teens save struggling fawn on frozen river

A teenager is being lauded after helping rescue a fawn that was stranded on a frozen river in Newark, Ohio.

Fischer Nance and Alex Lupton were reportedly out in the woods with their friends when they spotted the struggling fawn unable to stand on the icy river.

Video footage shows Nance approaching the animal, picking it up and carrying it to the riverbank to set it free.

As the fawn scurried away, one of Nance's friends shouted, "See ya, buddy, go find your dad."

Sharing a video of the rescue on Twitter, Lupton said, "As hunters we are conservationists, we never aim to hurt or destroy a population of a species."
