Terminally ill dog completes last adventure on bucket list

A loving dog owner and his fiancee created a bucket list for their terminally ill dog that would take him on a cross-country adventure from coast to coast.

For the last year, Poh and his owners Thomas Neil Rodriguez and his fiancee Goumada, traveled to places all across the U.S. including Las Vegas, D.C. New York, and California.

Early last year, veterinarians found two large tumors in Poh's abdomen. Found to be inoperable, they said that Poh was likely to die soon.

Since then, Poh and his owners have been crossing items off their bucket list along the way.

They recently completed the final item, a dip in the Gulf of Mexico.

On New Year's Eve, Poh was able to wade in its warm, salty waters.

Also, he spent New Year's Day at Hotel Indigo in St. Petersburg, according to the Daily Mail.

Rodriguez thought that he only "had a week with him at most", but he's shared their adventures on Instagram where more than 125,000 people have been watching the trip unfold.

He adopted Poh from an animal shelter in New York City in December 1999 when Poh was just eight weeks old.
