Terminally Ill Woman Writes a Heartbreaking Letter to Her Family Just Before Her Death

Hello all,I am posting this on behalf of the love of my life. These are her words. Much love to all. - Jeff...

(STORYFUL) A touching note written by a terminally ill woman shortly before her death, which was then posted to her Facebook page by her husband after she died, has gone viral on December 16. Heather McManamy, a former Research Specialist at UW-Madison, passed away on December 14, and the following day her husband, Jeff McManamy, posted the "obituary" letter she had written for herself to her Facebook account.

The note is directed at Jeff and their daughter Brianna, and includes many moving lines about McManamy's unwillingness to "los[e] to cancer" and her love for Jeff and Brianna. She requests that no one tell Brianna that her mother is in heaven--"Because, I am not in heaven. I'm here…My energy, my love, my laughter, those incredible memories, it's all here with you."

According to a video from local news site, McManamy's stage two cancer was diagnosed in April 2014. he video also captures the incredible lengths McManamy took to ensure that Brianna would feel her mother's presence long after she's gone. Heather wrote Brianna letters to be delivered at a bunch of her major milestones--including her first lost tooth, her first wedding anniversary, and her first baby--which will be made into a book.
