Texas boy delivers Easter baskets to kids fighting cancer

This Easter, a 12-year-old Texas boy did his part to bring the joy of the holiday to kids battling cancer.

Evan Jurgensen spent Wednesday delivering more than 30 Easter baskets to kids at Children's Health Plano.

Evan spent three years undergoing cancer treatment at the same hospital.

Now that his health has improved, he wants to provide some positive reinforcement for others.

"We have small little toys that they can play with and just different activities that they can do while they do it so that they won't be bored," he said.

Evan's family says the baskets were made possible through donations from the community.

FOX 5 reported this story from Atlanta.
