The true meaning of Christmas is served in Philadelphia along with hot meals

The true meaning of the holiday was being felt in Germantown in the form of a free hot meal.

The first Christmas dinner was served at Face to Face, a non-profit that just had a five-million-dollar renovation.

Face to Face is an organization dedicated to the health, stability and well-being of the residents of Germantown.

The 132-year-old building on East Price Street began the renovations seven months ago.

And, a hot meal and gifts were on the menu Christmas Day for residents in need in Philadelphia.

Volunteers at Chosen 300 Ministries were spending their Christmas helping those who are less fortunate.

In a show of solidarity, the Christian ministry teamed up with a Jewish congregation to put on the event.

It's a reminder of a message that Dr. Martin Luther King gave when he spoke at the church in 1965.
