Three inmates arrested for attempting to bring contraband into Glen Mills correctional facility
GLEN MILLS (WTXF) - Three people have been arrested in separate incidents for attempting to bring contraband items into a correctional facility in Glen Mills.
According to a press release, on October 5, 53-year-old Karen Ganzelli was taken to George W. Hill Correctional Facility for a probation violation. When she arrived at the intake unit, she was searched by an officer who discovered a medication bottle of Xanax pills from Ganzelli's bra, and suboxone foil packets hidden between her buttocks.
When asked why she had them, Ganzelli told the officer that she "didn't want no one to take them."
On October 14, a sergeant was conducting an inmate check of 28-year-old Anthony Kline. When Kline was asked if there was anything he would like to turn over, he reached into his underwear and took out one suboxone strip and five pills which were later determined to be clonazepam.
21-year-old Anthony Walker was arrested for retail theft and taken to the George W. Hill Correctional Facility. During an inmate search, an officer discovered a green leafy substance which he turned over to a sergeant and investigator.
Upon further investigation, the substance was confirmed to be marijuana.
All of the inmates have been charged with possession of a controlled substance and/or contraband by an inmate, a felony of the second degree.
