Three men rob Holmesburg 7-Eleven
HOLMESBURG (WTXF) - One man was injured during a robbery in a Holmesburg 7-Eleven.
The incident occurred Sunday morning at 1:25 a.m. at the 7-Eleven located at 7901 Frankford Avenue.
Officers responded to the scene following reports of a robbery.
According to a sales clerk, three unknown black males entered the store. One stood guard by the door while a second jumped over the counter and point a black handgun at the clerk.
The suspect reportedly stated "give me the money" before striking the clerk over the head several times with the gun, knocking him to the ground.
While on the ground, the third male reportedly struck the victim on the head with closed fists.
They then stood the victim up and forced him to open two cash registers. They took approximately $150.00 and an unknown brand and amount of cigarettes before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction in an unknown vehicle.
The victim was taken to ARIA South Hospital for complaints of pain to his head.
Suspect #1 is described as a black male, 5'6", 18-22 years of age, 160-170 pounds, and a thin build. He was wearing a black hooded jacket and gloves and was armed with a handgun.
Suspects #2 and #3 are described as black males, 18-22 years of age, and wearing blue or black jackets.
Their vehicle is possibly a red or maroon Honda.
