Toddler critical after falling in Schuylkill River

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Authorities were able to pull the young boy who fell into the Schuylkill River Saturday afternoon. He is now being treated at the ICU at CHOP in critical condition.

It all started around noon near St. Joe's Boat House on Kelly Drive.

Police say a three-year-old boy fell off the edge of the dock and into the river. The boy's father jumped in but was unable to find him.

Kelly Drive has opened back up between the statue and the reservoir until further notice.
