Trolley overturned on highway south of Dewey Beach

DEWEY BEACH (WTXF) - Delaware State Police are investigating a crash that happened south of Dewey Beach.

The incident occurred on Saturday around 4:41 p.m. on Coastal Highway (SR1) southbound.

According to preliminary investigation, the crash involves a trolley that overturned with passengers inside.

The number of injured passengers and the status of the injuries are unknown.

SR1 northbound and southbound have been closed at this time.
