Troopers investigate crash involving overturned tractor-trailer in Del.

STANTON, Del. (WTXF) - Police are investigating following a crash involving an overturned tractor-trailer in Stanton, Del. on Friday.

Just after noon, a Koehring tractor-trailer was reportedly rounding a curve on DE Rt. 7 northbound when the driver failed to negotiate the curve. The vehicle, fully loaded with hay, overturned on its right side in a grassy median.

The driver, 39-year-old Pittman Lee Carey of Pocomoke City, Md., was able to exit the vehicle and was treated at Christiana Hospital for minor injuries.

Carey has since been cited for Careless Driving.

DE Rt. 7 northbound was closed for approximately 3 hours as the crash was investigated and cleared.
