Two Charged in Strawberry Mansion Homicide

PHILADELPHIA- WTXF - Police say a pair of suspects are in custody in connection with the homicide of 16-year-old Saleem West in Strawberry Mansion on November 1st.

According to police, 17-year-old Raheim Feaster and 17-year-old Tyree Johnson are charged with: Murder, Attempted Murder, Criminal Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Criminal Conspiracy, Violation of Uniforms Firearms Act and related offenses.

West and a friend were riding their bikes on Sedgley Avenue on that Sunday afternoon when they got into a confrontation with four men in a Silver Buick. The Buick caught them a block away and the men emerged with guns, striking West. His friend avoided being hit.

The motive is not road rage, Schratwieser reported.
