Two Men Arrested for Sex Trafficking of 14-Year-Old Girl
COBB COUNTY, Ga. - Cobb County Police arrested two men who they said sold a 14-year-old girl for sex, but the young teen wasn't the only victim in the case.
According to the warrants, the 14-year-old girl and four other women, ages 19, 22, 24, and 42, were brought to a hotel room on Windy Hill Road where they are bought and sold.
All four women told police that Cartain Crawford made them prostitute themselves at the Marietta Hotel and then he would take the money. But he and another man, Sharmain Murdock, are also facing felony charges for the sex trafficking of a 14-year-old girl.
According to the arrest warrant, the men put images of the teen online to try to solicit buyers. People responding to the advertisement would meet the teen in the hotel room for the arranged sexual activity. The teen also told police that Murdock also had sex with her, and she believes she is pregnant with Murdock's child. He faces an additional charge of Statutory Rape.
Both Murdock and Crawford are being held at the Cobb County jail without bond.
The warrant also stated this local hotel room is frequented for prostitution.
