Unidentified young woman found dead in trash can

WILMINGTON, Del. (WTXF) - A young woman's body ended up in a trash can, and now authorities are working to identify her and find out how she died.

Authorities in Wilmington say officers responded to the 800 block of E. 22nd Street Wednesday after getting a "suspicious death" call.

That's where they found the victim, who is described as an African-American woman, probably between 18 to 25 years old.

An autopsy at the Delaware Office of Forensic Science could determine her cause of death as well as identify her.
