UPS hiring 95,000 seasonal workers for the holidays, more than 1,074 here

DALLAS (AP) - It's not even officially fall yet, but delivery companies and retailers are making their hiring lists for the holiday season.

The company adds, more than 37 percent of the people UPS hired in recent years for seasonal package handler jobs stayed with the company on a permanent basis after the holidays.

Target previously said it would hire more than 70,000 seasonal store workers, about the same as last year.
