Urgent Need for Dog Adoptions at ACCT Philly

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) There's a critical need right now for dog adoptions in Philadelphia.

The Philly Animal Care and Control Team had to euthanize a near record 22 dogs Thursday because of the high number of dogs brought in this week. And they are above average again tonight. Right now, you can adopt a large dog for free - all fees are being waived. If you live in Philadelphia, you'll only have to pay the $16 dog license.

The shelter on Hunting Park Avenue is open until 8 o'clock Friday and through the weekend. For more information on fostering or adopting, please click here.
