Victim idenfitied in Delaware homicide; person of interest sought

NEW CASTLE, DEL.- WTXF - Police have identified the victim who was found dead in a home in the Mallard Pointe area.

The man found dead is 47-year-old Shawn Spence from 500 block of N. DuPont highway in New Castle, police said. His death has been ruled a homicide. 52-year-old Gregory Parker, whose home Spence's body was found in, has been identified as a person of interest in the case, and police are looking for him.

On Thursday night police received a call for a check on the welfare of a man. Police arrived and discovered a man deceased at the residence. Paramedics pronounced him, and police stated that "circumstances on the scene have made this death suspicious."
