Video Arraignment To Be Held For AG Kathleen Kane Saturday

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - Pennsylvania's attorney general won't be in the courtroom when she's arraigned on charges she leaked secret grand jury information and lied about it under oath.

Prosecutors say Kathleen Kane will appear Saturday via video from the Montgomery County Detective Bureau, where she's scheduled for processing.

Kane was charged Thursday with one felony count of perjury and eight misdemeanor counts including obstruction of justice and conspiracy.

Prosecutors say she's to report to detectives in the Philadelphia suburb of Norristown at 1:30 p.m.

The arraignment is at 2 p.m. in Collegeville, about 7 miles away.

An attorney for the 49-year-old Kane says she plans to plead not guilty. She has refused calls to step down, including from Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf.

Kane's the first woman and first Democrat elected attorney general in Pennsylvania.
