Video: Man struck by van fleeing shooting; Victim, suspects sought
NORTH PHILADELPHIA (FOX 29) - Philadelphia police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in connection with a shooting that occurred last Sunday.
The incident occurred back on December 2 around 3 a.m. on the 3300 block of North 9th Street.
Officers responded to find a 20-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg and transported him to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
Investigators have now released surveillance video of the incident, which shows the victim arguing with the suspect. During the argument, the suspect can be seen pulling out a handgun and firing multiple shots at the victim, striking him.
After the shooting, the suspect got into a light-colored Chevrolet Express conversion van and fled the scene, heading east on Sedgley Street. As the van drove off, with several other occupants, it struck a pedestrian in the street. The pedestrian was then loaded inside the van, and the van drove off.
Police say they have not yet located or identified the man struck by the van.
