VIDEO: Man Wanted For Striking Woman, Car With Baseball Bat

Philadelphia Police are seeking to identify and locate a suspect wanted for an aggravated assault in the Glennwood neighborhood of Philadelphia.

The incident occurred Tuesday at the intersection of 16th and Clearfield Streets just before midnight.

Police say a 26-year-old woman was driving north on Broad Street at Lehigh Avenue, when a unknown male in a dark SUV began beeping at her. The man then followed her to 16th and Clearfield, when surveillance video captured him exiting his vehicle armed with a baseball bat.

According to police, the woman exited her vehicle and the man struck her with the bad several times on her left arm, left hand, and head before throwing her to the ground.

The suspect can then be seen breaking all of the windows on the woman's car using the bat, before entering the passenger side of the SUV, which was operated by and unknown female, and was carrying a third occupant. The trio fled the scene.

The victim was taken to Temple University hospital to be treated for a cut on her hand and contusions.

The suspect has been described as a 40-year-old black male with a bald head.
