Water main break buckles streets in Southwest Philadelphia

Crews are on the scene of a water main break in Southwest Philadelphia.

The break had flooded streets and buckled roadways in the area of 63 rd Street and Passyunk Avenue.

Traffic in the area has been redirected. FOX 29's Bob Kelly recommends those who usually travel Passyunk Avenue use the Platt Bridge, or Girard Point Double Decker Bridge to work your way across the Schuylkill River.

The waterflow has been slowed, but crews are still assessing the damage.

This is a developing story. Stay with FOX 29 for updates.
