(STORYFUL) - Video of a young boy enjoying a cricket match at Melbourne Cricket Ground on January 2 went viral thanks to his enthusiastic devouring of at least one watermelon, including the skin.

Shared as a Twitter video by Ten Sport, #WatermelonBoy was soon trending.

Mitchell, the boy's real name, seemed pretty comfortable with the attention judging from social media posts from his father.

The video was taken during the Women's Big Bash League match between Melbourne Stars and Melbourne Renegades.
