Weather Authority: Bitter chill lingers Friday before mild weekend

Thursday's record-breaking cold temperatures lingered into the morning on Black Friday, leaving wind chills in parts of the area in single digits.

Shoppers were bundled up as the headed to stores with low temperatures in the 20s and teens. Friday's high is only expected to reach 36 degrees as a cold front starts to move out of the area later in the day.

Weekend temperatures will be milder, but Saturday we'll have to worry about rain with highs in the 40s.

Sunday will warm up even more with a high of 55. Temperatures will be a little more of a mixed bag as we get into next week, with highs ranging in from the 30s to the 50s.
