Weather Authority: Philadelphia dodges rain for St. Patrick's Day parade
Parade goers might look out the window tomorrow morning and see grim circumstances for the St. Patrick's Day Parade, but fear not, the rain will minimally impact the festivities.
Precipitation will roll into the area during the early morning hours. Downpours will impact the area and dump up to an inch and a half of rain. Temperatures during this time will likely reach into the 40's for most areas.
By 11 a.m. the rain will move westward and cover most of New Jersey. Parade time will be cloud covered, but temperatures will climb into the high 40's and may touch the 50's for Philadelphia and other areas.
The big payout for the region will come around 3 p.m., when the precipitation is all gone and temperatures climb into the upper 50's and touch the mid-to-low 60's for some.
Looking ahead, the warmer weather will stick around for Monday, with a high of 55 and plenty of sunshine. Likewise, Tuesday and Wednesday will be sunny, but a little cooler as the thermometers will drop back into the mid 40's.
Some precipitation may affect the area later in the week.
