Woman caught on video throwing a dog into the street

Shocking surveillance video shows a California woman throwing a pug to the street.

Now police are searching for the woman who has since fled town.

This video has already gotten almost 40,000 views on Facebook.

Michael Ramirez with Solano Co. Human Animal Services said, "She doesn't deserve that dog."

Among those who have clicked the link are officers with both the Fairfield Police Department and Solano County Humane Animal Services.

"We are currently looking for her at this time, she is from what I understand hiding from us," Ramirez said.

But Sgt. Michael Ramirez with Solano's animal control says they know who the woman throwing the pug is.

Brandi Chin - a suspect they're trying to find and believe has abused this dog before.

"She was recently seen walking down a business district in Fairfield and she apparently had the dog by the tail and she was swinging it around," Ramirez said.

KTXL were able to find the home this surveillance video was shot in front of, near Texas and Pennsylvania Streets in Fairfield, California.

The woman living there, Candy Seward, tells us her roommate is Chin's boyfriend and that the pug named Ben, was hurt in a heated argument between the couple.

"She got in a fight with her boyfriend and she got upset and she, I don't know took the dog," Seward said.

Seward says she and others in the video wanted to take Ben from Chin, but she stormed off with the pug before anyone could.

She agrees Ben needs to be taken from her.

Seward said, "I think that she should be punished and maybe someone should talk to her about animal cruelty."

Ramirez believes Chin is hiding in the Vallejo area and hopes people who know where she and Ben are will help end the dog's torture.

He said, "We are looking to file animal cruelty charges against her and have this dog removed from her because the dog doesn't deserve that."
