Woman charged in Wilmington bleach attack on shopper, baby

Police in Wilmington, Delaware have arrested a woman after they say she attacked another woman with bleach inside a Target last week.

Lataka Mason, 39, turned herself into police Tuesday morning, after police say she poured bleach on another customer, and the customer's one-year-old daughter at the store on the 1000 block of Brandywine Parkway in Wilmington.

State police say it was just before 6:00 p.m. last Thursday evening when Mason, seen in surveillance footage, began an argument with a 24-year-old woman who she accused of blocking a Target aisle with her shopping cart.

Authorities say the victim then moved her cart to let woman pass, but instead of calming down that's when Mason allegedly jammed the victim's cart with her own causing another argument. According to police, Mason then dumped a bottle of bleach on the victim and splashed the baby. Police say Mason fled the store.
