Woman dies after head-on vehicle collision in Falls Twp.

FALLS TWP (WTXF) - Police are investigating a fatal crash in Falls Township that occurred early Friday morning.

The incident occurred on Lincoln Highway/Business Route 1 along the northbound shoulder, approximately 200 yards north of Tyburn Road at 7:50 a.m.

According to a press release, a white Nissan Altima was traveling south on Lincoln Hwy left its lane of travel for an unknown reason and collided head-on with a Mercury Mountaineer traveling north.

The collision occurred along the northbound lane's shoulder against the guardrail.

The driver of the Nissan was taken to Aria Hospital in Bucks County where she was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Mountaineer sustained non-lifethreatening injury.
