Young man and woman shot, killed inside car in East Mount Airy

EAST MOUNT AIRY (WTXF) - Police responded to a double shooting on Sunday evening in Northwest Philadelphia on the 1000 block of Sydney Street.

When officers arrived, a 23-year-old man and 21-year-old woman were found unresponsive inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds to their heads. Both were pronounced dead at the scene at 5 p.m.

No arrests have been made and no weapon has been recovered.

This is an ongoing investigation.
