New job for ex-Temple coach Golden

WTXF - Al Golden, the former head football coach at Temple, lost his job with Miami last season. But now, Golden is bouncing back, in the NFL.

The ex-Owls coach has been hired as tight ends coach by the Detroit Lions, the team announced Monday.

The 46-year-old Golden was the coach of Temple from 2006 to 2010- where he's often crediting with kickstarting the recent upswing in the program's fortunes- before leaving to take over the Hurricanes.

Other than his brief playing career, this is Golden's first job in the NFL.
