Monday will be mild before a high-pressure system brings rain and snow to the Delaware Valley.

Celebrations in honor of the American Red Cross are happening all throughout March, marking the 80th year that the month has been dedicated to the humanitarian nonprofit.

As Saturday evening progresses, the skies will remain mainly cloudy, as the wind dies down. Temperatures will fall into the mid-30s overnight.

Heavy rain will make its way across the area between 8 and 9 p.m. through 1 a.m. There could be a rumble or two of thunder as it moves through, but the wind will be whipping around, gusting 30 to 40 mph.

Lunchtime Friday, the southern portions of the region will begin to see the rain and it will spread over the area from the south throughout the rest of the day.
