Arctic blast to bring frigid temps through the weekend
PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - It will be feeling a little more like winter over the next few days as the northeast braces for an Arctic blast that will bring chilly temperatures to our area.
Tuesday's milder air will be moving out of the area as the arctic blast comes in, Wednesday afternoon.
We should start to feel the effects of that blast more on Thursday, and could wake up to temperatures below freezing on Friday morning.
Friday is expected to stay cold with high temperatures barely breaking 40, with more of the same over the weekend. Those bitter temps could potentially lead to a few snowflakes over the weekend.
In the meantime, stay warm! Here's a quick look at the next few days:
Wednesday: Breezy and cooler, high of 48
Thursday: Sunny and cold, high of 45
Friday: Sun to clouds, high of 40
Saturday: Partly sunny, high of 42
Sunday: Sunny and colder, high of 38
