Light Snow Tuesday before Arctic Blast

OLD CITY (WTXF) - The FOX 29 Weather Authority is tracking a number of storms that could drop light snow on the region early this week. An arctic blast will follow later in the week.

The first of two systems is expected to reach the Jersey Shore on Monday.

The outer edge of this storm is expected to brush South Jersey, as the bulk of the storm stays off the coast and over the Atlantic.

This system should only bring some rain and perhaps a wintry mix along the coast with a chance of minor coastal flooding come high tide Monday morning.

Any snow accumulations will likely be light and occur in areas north of Atlantic County, New Jersey.
Tuesday's storm is one to keep an eye on as it moves in from the Midwest, and is expected to redevelop off the coast of the Carolinas.

The amount of snow will depend on how the storm redevelops, but it appears the snowfall could reach the area as early as the Tuesday morning rush, and continue to fall into the early afternoon.

Accumulations with this storm are also expected to be light for most areas, with and early prediction of 2-4 inches possible along the I-95 corridor.

Coastal flooding will likely continue to be a concern into Tuesday.
