Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued for counties across Delaware Valley
PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia area is facing a third day of severe weather as residents continue to clean up following powerful storms that downed trees, power lines and caused flooding.

Thursday's forecast calls for storms that could pack damaging wind and hail. The risk continues for flash flooding. The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the following counties:
Pennsylvania:
- Berks
- Bucks
- Chester
- Delaware
- Montgomery
- Philadelphia
New Jersey
- Burlington
- Camden
- Cumberland
- Hunterdon
- Mercer
- Salem
Delaware
- Kent
- New Castle
A Flash Flood Warning has been issued for the following counties until 9:15 p.m. Thursday:
Pennsylvania:
- Bucks
- Montgomery
- Philadelphia
- Delaware
New Jersey:
- Camden
- Mercer
- Burlington
Due to continued road closures and power outages resulting from severe weather, Salford Hills Elementary will be closed on Friday, May 31.

For now, Friday is looking a little more settled with some morning fog and afternoon sun in the forecast.
The Philadelphia area has not been the only part of the state impacted by these storms. The National Weather Service has determined at least three tornadoes touched down in Berks, Bradford and Indiana counties this week.
