Six Flags cancels record snowball fight due to snow
JACKSON, N.J. (WTXF) - Six Flags Great Adventure has closed the park for the day, abandoning its attempt at the world's largest snowball fight -- due to snow.
"For the safety of our guests and employees the park will remain closed Saturday, Dec. 9 for inclement weather!" the park announced in a statement.
The park had previously pegged Saturday as "the most epic snow day EVER," with Six Flags theme parks across the country participating in the event.
Any changes in the park's schedule for the remainder of the weekend can be found on the park's website.
