PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Philadelphia and the surrounding areas are gearing up for what could be the coldest Thanksgiving Day in over a century.
The coldest Turkey Day on record for Philadelphia was 27 degrees in 1901. The projected high for Thursday in the city is 29 degrees.
Sunshine is expected, but highs won't escape the upper 20s. Wind chills will be in the teens.
For Wednesday, residents can expect sunny to partial cloud cover and a high of 47 degrees.
Rain returns to the forecast Saturday during the afternoon, with highs rising to the mid-50s.
