Weather Authority: Friday showers to lead into chilly weekend
PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Friday's chilly start was a quick preview of what we can expect this weekend, but expect your Friday to come to a soggy end thanks to some drenching rain.
Rain is expected to reach areas north and west of the city early this afternoon and that rain is expected to be heavy at times. Downpours and strong winds are possible during the evening rush house.
Coastal Flood Advisories will go into effect for parts of our area at 1 p.m. All of the rain should be offshore by the late evening.
Saturday morning things will be cooling down with a high of just 43 for the day, and more of the same expected Sunday with a high of 46.
