Weather Authority: High winds, thunderstorms to impact region

High winds are in the forecast for Wednesday afternoon, with gusts as high as 50-60 mph possible.

Temperatures are expected to drop quickly in the afternoon, with scattered strong to severe storms rolling through over the course of several hours.

The main threat, according to FOX 29's Scott Williams, will be damaging winds.
