Weather Authority: Rain expected through Friday, chance of storms this weekend
PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - This dreadfully rainy week is expected to continue for at least the next 24 hours as a frontal system makes its way north. Things aren't expected to be much different this weekend.
Friday should bring scattered showers and potentially some thunderstorms to the Delaware Valley.
The morning started off moist with light rain around the city and suburbs and also brought mild temperatures and some fog.
With the lack of sunshine, things won't really be heating up Friday with a high of just 66 degrees.
The weekend is expected to bring even more rain, with showers expected Saturday and Sunday. Sunday will also bring a chance of thunderstorms.
Saturday we could see several inches of rainfall on top of what we've already seen this week.
FOX 29's Sue Serio says Sunday's rain is expected to last into the early afternoon, and we're hoping to see some sunshine before the day is through.
Here's a quick look at the weekend:
FRIDAY: High of 66 and rainy
SATURDAY: High of 71, showers
SUNDAY: High of 83, rain, chance of thunderstorms
