Weather Authority: Snow, sleet and rain moving into the area for Thursday
PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - The first flakes of the season are heading this way. The FOX 29 Weather Authority is tracking a system moving in Thursday where we will see snow, sleet and rain for most of the area
Late Thursday morning, the snow will lift from the north towards the Delaware Valley and by 11 a.m. we will see snow in Philadelphia--pushing to the northeast. By 3 p.m. Thursday, Philadelphia will be transitioning to rain, but north and west of the city we will continue to see a wintry mix until Thursday evening.
The Poconos have the best chance for accumulating snow while most of the area will see 1-3 inches.
FOX 29 meteorologists say its been a decade since the Delaware Valley saw snow in November. PennDOT crews were out treating the roads Wednesday ahead of the storm.
