Weather Authority: Snow, sleet and rain to impact area Wednesday
PHILADELPHIA (FOX 29) - The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for a midweek storm that will bring accumulating snow, sleet and rain to the region.
The Winter Storm Watch goes into effect Wednesday at 6 a.m.
Snow will creep in late morning and transition to rain during the evening rush hour. It should transition to rain into Thursday morning.
Gov. Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency for the entire state of New Jersey beginning Wednesday at 5 a.m.
Snow totals will vary depending on when the transition occurs, but a few inches are expected in the metro area.
The region is expected to dry out Thursday afternoon through Saturday morning.
