Weather Authority: Thursday, Friday to bring early taste of spring

With the first official day of spring less than a week away, the Delaware Valley will be getting a pleasant preview over the next few days.

With no rain this week since Sunday, temperatures are starting to warm up with highs expected to be in the mid-60s Thursday and Friday.

Our next chance of rain comes Friday as part of a 'bomb cyclone' system that had been bringing heavy snow and heavy rain to the midwest. That system should only bring us a warm front Friday morning that will be accompanied by some scattered showers.

There should be a break in the rain until a cold front brings rain into the evening and overnight hours.

The cold front will also cool things down as we get into the weekend with a high of 50 degrees on Saturday and 45 degrees for St. Patrick's Day on Sunday.
