Weather Authority: Wintry mix on the way

Partly cloudy skies are expected to give way to a mixture of rain and snow across the region Saturday afternoon.

Slushy accumulations of 1-3 inches are expected for the area, with snow clinging to grassy and untreated surfaces first.

Main roads in the city will likely remain wet, though roads north of the Pennsylvania Turnpike may prove more problematic.

Saturday's wintry mix is forecasted to start 5 p.m. Saturday and last through 2 a.m. Sunday.
