Lewis Farms & Petting Zoo, located in New Era, took Jeffrey for a stroll inside PetSmart to the surprise and wonder of many shoppers inside.

PetSmart is known for allowing many different types of pets to accompany their owners while they shop.

It's important to keep in mind that their official in-store pet policy limits those pets to domestic dogs and cats, birds, guinea pigs, hamsters, chinchillas, gerbils, mice, rats, certain geckos, bearded dragons, specific types of snakes, specific types of frogs, ferrets, rabbits, sugar gliders and pot-bellied pigs.

Lewis Farms & Petting Zoo was able to get special permission for Jeffrey this week to be allowed inside the store.

This isn't the first time an unusual pet has gone "shopping" inside a pet store. A man brought his 1,600-pound steer to a Texas Petco back in March.

Lewis Farms & Petting Zoo said they're planning lots of fun activities in the future with Jeffrey and they're holding their annual Birthday Party event this simmer where folks can come meet the famous camel in person. Click here for information.
