PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Dozens of area schools are opening late Friday morning as snow, ice, and rain continued to fall in parts of the area overnight.
The worst of the storm came during Thursday's evening rush, causing delays on major roadways across the region.
While most schools are simply opening on a delayed schedule Friday, others are completely closed for the day.
The School District of Philadelphia and Archdiocese of Philadelphia Schools are operating on a normal schedule.
While snow continued to fall early Friday morning, it was not expected to continue into the day, but icy roadways and strong winds are expected to contribute to traffic delays.
