Arrest Made in Howard Baker Homicide

Philadelphia Police have announced an arrest in connection with the death of Dr. Howard Baker, whose body was found in a Center City hotel earlier this week.

Manuel Baez, a 27-year-old described as a "homeless male," has been arrested and charged with the murder of Dr. Baker.

Baker, a 75-year-old described as a prominent psychiatrist, was found dead Monday morning at the Rodeway Inn on Walnut Street in Center City, with a leather belt tied around his neck. Police said Tuesday that the case was being investigated as a homicide, and the arrest was announced Wednesday afternoon.
